Oliver cromwell is really very sorry (2020 - present).
Funded by arts council england.
‘Oliver Cromwel is Really Very Sorry’ is an alt-musical theatre performance exploring Oliver Cromwell’s life in Ireland. It is supported by Dublin Fringe Festival, Roscommon Co Co and Arts Council England. The proposal includes mentorship from Australian Circus Troupe Hot Brown Honey.
Decadent, ostentatious and completely at odds with the historical content ‘Oliver Cromwel is really very sorry’ explores Britain's colonial history in Ireland as well as our own participation in colonialism through history. The project will work as a learning piece for both Irish and UK audiences by visiting an important and traumatic part of our shared history in an engaging, entertaining and shocking way.
International circus troupe hot brown honey are mentoring on the project.
We completed phase one of r&D for the project before Nov 5th. The project is paused until restrictions are lifted.
FAntabulosa (2019 to present)

the attached song was inspired by the kids book ‘just add glitter’. the director and I took the lyrics and applied it to a really fun 70s glam rock sound. The composition was done by me with support from director Adam carver.
Confirmation (2018 - 2019)
This is not a story about the status quo. This is a story about making a change. A musical memoir about growing up in Roscommon.
Xnthony was 12 when he made his confirmation. He was 26 when Roscommon voted no in the marriage equality referendum. This is the story of those moments and everything that happened in between, exploring the complex relationships we have with the places we call home and the stories they hold.
This project was funded by Arts Council Ireland, and toured to Dublin Fringe Festival and Edinburgh Fringe (at pleasance). For the music we used a mix between electronic and organic sounds, including a local youth choir from my home town.
I was lead song writer and also co-produced the musical production with producers lung dart. ODU developed the musical composition for the project.

Douze (2015)
Xnthony and The Penny Slots are making (another) Eurovision comeback. Armed with a host of hit songs to choose from, this loveable poptastic comedy will leave you in stitches. They’re making a bid to represent Ireland in the next Eurovision but need your help in picking the winning song. Aiming for Douze Points and European glory, they’ll do anything to get there. Winner of Best Comedy IYAF 2016.
This show toured across Europe including Prague fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, Dublin Fringe, and across the UK.
I led the song writing with Tiffany Murphy. The music was produced by music maker Scott bowley. I have attached a video of one performance of our song called ‘numbers’. The lyrics are simple…they’re just numbers.
